Checklists - Passenger Train Stations

The Checklist available for viewing or download below is based on the Station Standards and follow the same order and numbering as the Station Standards. The Checklist is designed for your use to evaluate your station and can be used to record information for later entry on the Station data pages. Station Standards can be viewed by selecting Statndards - Stations at the Our Project drop down menubar item.

Checklist: a list of things to be checked or done. Our Project's Checklists are used by Champions to document achievements and issues at their Passenger Train Station. The Checklist exactly mirrors the Passenger Train Stations Standards and are linked by the reference number in each. Standards and Checklists are reviewed on a regular basis to insure that they are relevant and cover the major topics for Passenger Train Stations. I – Issue, needs attention.
A –Achievement
N – Not applicable to this station
SAFETY ISSUE – Mark Y/N for a Safety Issue if you determine that a passenger or visitor would or could be injured or has the possibility of causing anxiety to a passenger or visitor if they come in contact with or encounter this issue. Select Safety Issue when entering in the website.
Grading;
A - The Train Station/Checklist Item meets or exceeds all standards. (Cannot have any Items marked “S” or “I”.)
C - The Train Station/Checklist Item is acceptable but has some issues but no safety issue. (Cannot have any Items marked “S”.)
F - The Train Station/Checklist Item does not meet standards and has issues with safety, cleanliness, and passenger comfort.


I. Local and State Government Involvement: Local and State Government will be involved in passenger train station activities.

State Government 150 Designated office/position for passenger train activities – Has the state in which the Train Stations is located designated an office or agency to be responsible for Train Stations activities and have they designated an individual within that office or agency to coordinate Train Stations activities? II. Street and Road signs: Train stations will have adequate street and road signage so that passengers and those meeting train travelers can locate a station by following signs to the station.

IV. Station Building/Shelter: Train stations will provide an appropriate/maintained building/shelter that will provide comfort and utility for passengers and those dropping off or picking up. It will especially provide protection from adverse weather conditions.
